Wynona Brown

Wynona Brown, 75, of Marshall, IL, passed away on August 5, 2023.  She was born on March 24, 1948, in Greenwood, IN to the late Gene Barrett and Edith (Kessinger) Hudson.  Wynona attended Greenwood High School.  She worked at the Indianapolis – Lawrence Bureau of Motor Vehicles, retiring in 2012.  Wynona was a member of Trinity Baptist Church.

She loved to fish, go yard selling, helping the needy, being with her grandbabies, and cookouts.

Wynona is preceded in death by her parents, mentioned above; her siblings, Steve, Dale, and Marlene; her niece, Chasity; her grandson, Devon Lee; and her great granddaughter, Skylar Renee.

She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Johnnie Mac Brown; children, Fonzie, Becky, and JT; stepchildren, Patty and Lee; grandchildren, Brianna, Natalie, Izaiah, Mark, Mollie, Jacob, Janis, Jasmine, Jessica, Dillon, Raven, and Briseis; great grandchildren, Mary Jane, Karlee, Bailee, Rylee, and Hannah; and siblings, Penny, Jackie, and Jimmy; along with many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Visitation is from 1pm to 3pm on Saturday, September 2, 2023, at Legacy Cremation & Funeral Services, 5215 N. Shadeland Avenue, with a service to start at 3pm.  Wynona’s final resting place will be at West Ridge Park Cemetery, Indianapolis, IN.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family to help with final expenses.
