William Sanford Taylor

William Taylor, age 64, of Anderson, passed away at his home on September 1, 2020 surrounded by his family. He was born on June 6, 1956 to Franklin Taylor and Ruth Porter (Jordan).

William was a wonderful father, husband, papaw, and friend. He was such a funny man and could put a smile on anyone’s face. He could make you fall out of your chair with his witty personality. William never met a stranger and was the life of the party at every event. William was someone who always had the right advice, even if you didn’t want to hear it. He was extremely wise and always there for his family.

Throughout his life, he owned a Trucking company, Taylor and Son feed store before recently retiring as a truck driver for Apex paving and excavating after 20+ years. He was a Mason and a proud member of the Frankton American Legion. William was a hard worker throughout his life.

He loved farming, coon hunting, and was always tending to his huge garden. You could find him always listening to country music. His family meant the world to him and he will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

William is survived by his loving wife of 22 years, June Taylor; children William Shane Taylor (Savannah Pitts), Ronnie Bott (Brittney), and Deanna Bott (Steven Ewell); grandchildren Caleb Bott, Ashton Ewell, Katie Taylor, Rome Ewell, Morgan Taylor, Jax Ewell, Rocky Taylor, Carson Bott, Farrah Bott, Charles Pitts, and Mary Taylor; step-mother Judy Taylor; step-father James Porter; siblings Pennie Stamper (Rex), Greg Taylor (Darlene), Paulette McClain (Tim Kellams), Ivan “PJ” Bowling; and Frank Taylor (Brittany Strawser); and several step-siblings, nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles.

Preceded in death by his parents listed above; two brothers Rocky and Tony Taylor; mother-in-law Mandy Mitchell.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, September 8, 2020 at New Life Christian Church, 2515 E 100 N, Anderson, IN, 46013, at 2pm. Cremation was chosen through Legacy Cremation and Funeral Services – Anderson.
