William Otis Lee Iii

William Otis Lee III was born to Hannah Louise and William Otis Lee Jr. on May 30, 1960, in Newport News, Virginia.  He was one of five children.  He is preceded in death by his parents; stepfather, Robert L. Woods Jr’ sister, Teresa M. Johnson ; brother, Wayne D. Venable, and daughter, Gale E. Lee.

William graduated from Crispus Attucks High School in 1978.  After graduation, William completed an apprenticeship program at Briggs Medical Institute, Indiana School of Opticianry where he learned to make eyeglasses.  In October of 1980, William joined the U.S. Army Nation Guard where he served as a Military Policeman until his honorable discharge in August of 1989.  William worked at International Paper for over 7 years before retiring in December of 2022.

William was a dear son, brother, uncle, father, grandfather and friend.  He loved cars, clothes and anything sweet to eat.

William departed this life on Sunday, June 4, 2023, at eh age of 63 years and 5 days.  He leaves to cherish his memories: three sons, William O. Lee IV, Anthony Hester Sr, and Justin Hester: one daughter, Karina Hester; two sisters, Rene D. and Robin M. Woods; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, grandchildren and friends.

William Otis Lee III will be dearly missed but not forgotten !!!
