William Willard Lee Jr.

William "Buddy" Willard Lee, Jr., 76, passed away on July 14, 2024. He was born to William and Elsie Lee in Connersville, Indiana on November 21, 1947.

He graduated from Pendleton High School in 1966. After high school, he enlisted in the Army and served in Viet Nam. Upon returning to Anderson, he worked at Delco Remy for 30 years before retirement.

His family was a large part of his life, and he kept up with everyone. He enjoyed gardening, NASCAR, and women's basketball.

Left to honor his memory are his brother Robert Lee, and sister, Karen Pilkington. Children include Devin (Leigh) Lee, John (Sharon) Humes, Angee (Debbie) Humes, Melissa Fitzgerald, and Tina (Glen) Smart. Grandchildren are Joshua (Jessica) Lee, Madyson (Conner) Builta, Kyle Lee, Jenna Lee, Jacob (Chelstie) Tuttle, Christoper (Jessica) Ricci, J.R. (Ashley) Smart, and Alissa Smart.

He was proceeded in death by his parents; his wife of 30 years, Nancy Lee; brother, James Lee; granddaughter, Shelby Tuttle; and grandson John B. Humes.

A special place in his heart was reserved for Victoria Lee and her pups, Becca Marie and Skye Blue.

A graveside service will be held at 10am on Friday, July 19, 2024, at Miller Cemetery, Middletown, IN. The service will be presided by Pastor Claude Creel of Good Shepherd Community Church in Huntsville, IN.  

In lieu of flowers, donations in honor of William can be made out to the Animal Protection League, your local Humane Society, or the Leukemia Research Foundation.
