William Thomas Kyes Jr.

William Thomas Kyes Jr., affectionately known as Bill, passed away on August 6, 2025.

Bill is survived by his mother, Betty Joanne Pritchett; his beloved son, Zachary Thomas Kyes, who resides in Michigan City; and his sisters, Barbara Parker (Bruce), Beverly Salyer (Mike), and Tammy Reis (Mark). He also leaves behind nephews and a niece, as well as his bonus daughter, Holly Landis (Chris). Each of these relationships held a special place in Bill's heart.

Bill was known for his generosity and his unwavering positivity. He had often shared dreams of a retirement filled with travels, particularly along the iconic Route 66. His aspirations embodied his adventurous nature and his desire to explore the world, which he looked forward to in his later years. Sadly, Bill's plans came to an abrupt end due to a sudden heart attack, preventing him from fulfilling this final dream.

Bill will be deeply missed, remembered fondly by family and friends who hold dear the joyous moments and laughter they shared. In lieu of flowers, his family has kindly requested donation to the American Heart Association in his memory. If you are unable to donate, Bill would ask that you do something kind for someone.
