William “T.C.” Coleman, 74, of Anderson, Indiana, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of unforgettable memories.

T.C. was born in Chicago, Illinois, and raised in Lafayette, Indiana, where he attended Lafayette Jefferson High School. He served his country in the United States Navy. After his service, he worked 16+ years for the Lafayette Street Department.

Known as the life of the party, T.C. had a way of lighting up every room he entered. He was easygoing, full of personality, and never met a stranger. He had a deep love for music, enjoyed spending time fishing and hunting, and was a passionate history buff.

T.C. is survived by his wife of 39 years, Joann Price Coleman; his children, William T. Coleman III (Jill), Nakia K. Coleman, Jirmil I. Coleman (Tammy), and Victor Phillips; his brothers, Stanley Coleman and Leonard Coleman; his grandchildren, Kenyon (Caitlin) Coleman, Shaundria Coleman, and Tierney Coleman; great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Bessie Coleman; his daughters, Keya Phillips and Eva Phillips; and four brothers and four sisters.

T.C.’s presence will be deeply missed, but his spirit, laughter, and the joy he brought to others will live on in all who knew and loved him.

A Celebration of Life will be held to honor T.C. on Saturday, April 11th, 2026 at 1pm the family's home. Any gifts or monetary contributions may be sent to the family.
