Wayne L. Sarvis Jr., known as "Hinky," passed away on December 5th, 2023. Born on February 14, 1950, to Wayne Sarvis Sr. and Erma Shoemaker.
Hinky spent his days working at Hopewell Center in Anderson, IN, where he made a positive impact on the lives of those he served. He had a soft spot for cats and loved spending time with his family, especially during gatherings where food and laughter filled the air.
A man of simple pleasures, Hinky enjoyed going to church at First Baptist Church and quietly observing the world around him. He found joy in the little things.
Hinky is survived by his sisters Rita Robinson (Francis), Karla Sarvis, Peggy Waggoner, and Barbara DeMott (Travis), along with his brother Terry Sarvis Sr. He will be remembered fondly by several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Richard Sarvis Sr., Wayne Sarvis III, Dennis Sarvis, James Sarvis, and sisters Donna Robbins, Velvia Randolph, Norma Wolf, and Mary Phillips. Brother in-law Al Robbins, and sister in-law Carlotta Sarvis.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, December 12th, from 1 pm to 3 pm, with the service beginning at 3 pm.
May Wayne "Hinky" Sarvis rest in peace, surrounded by the love and memories he created throughout his life.
