Wanda Sue Stark

Wanda Sue Stark, 87, of Indianapolis, Indiana, passed away on April 16, 2023.  She was born on December 4, 1935, in Marshall Arkansas, to parents, Yule Rose and Bonnie (Rolen) Rose.

Wanda always had a story to tell, whether about her sons, her aunts and uncles: Max and June, or her grandchildren.  If her grandchildren would sit on her lap that was wonderful and she would tell about that over and over.

In her spare time, Wanda’s favorite thing to watch was her detective stories, Young and Restless, Bold and Beautiful soap operas on TV.  She also loved all animals, especially her cat at home.  She was a devout Christian, always ending her day with a prayer before bed.

Wanda is survived by her loving husband of 20 years, Christopher Stark; son, Randy D. Jackson; daughter-in-law, Donna Jackson; grandchildren, Crissy Jackson, Cassie Jo Jackson, and Joey Jackson, Jr. (Carriann); great grandchildren, Hayleigh, Kaylee, Becca, Zoey, Clayton, Billie, Reyna, Matie and Andrew; great great grandchildren, Hazel and Lilly; and step-siblings, Gunda Fey, Jack Fey and Bookey Fey.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Yule and Bonnie Rose; first husband, S.T. Jackson; son, Joe Max Jackson, Sr., and daughter-in-law, Lavel Jackson.

Visitation is from 10am to 11am on Wednesday, April 26, 2023, at Legacy Cremation & Funeral Services, 5215 N. Shadeland Avenue, with services to start at 11am. Burial to follow at Memorial Park Cemetery, Indianapolis, Indiana.
