Timothy R. Gann, (Tim-Bob) a beloved son, devoted father, and passionate mechanic, passed away unexpectedly on November 3, 2025, in his hometown of Indianapolis, Indiana. Born on August 1, 1991, Timothy's journey through life was marked by his unwavering love for family, music, and the art of mechanics.
Growing up on the southwest side of Indianapolis, Timothy attended Decatur Central High School. As a mechanic, his hands were always covered in grease, but they were also filled with a dedication to his craft. Timothy found joy in the art workings of cars, transforming his passion into a livelihood that he cherished deeply.
Timothy was not just a mechanic; he was a man of many interests. He had a deep-seated love for music and took great pleasure in playing the drums. Those close to him knew of his unyielding admiration for Ozzy Osbourne, and his love for music.
He loved deeply and wholeheartedly a testament to the relationships he fostered throughout his life. Timothy was especially devoted to his daughter, Madalyn Schaefer-Gann. She was his pride and joy, a shining light in his world, and nothing brought him more happiness than watching her grow and flourish. His love for Madalyn was evident in every interaction he had, and he took immense pride in being her father.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving parents, Rebecca Myers and Bill "Wilbur" Chafey; his sisters, Ashley Pennington, Britney Chafey, and Jacque Chafey, brothers: Chuckie Hughes Tony Brush, and his cherished daughter, Madalyn. They will carry forward the legacy of Timothy's love and passion.
He was preceded in death by his father, Mark A. Gann.
A visitation will be held on November 13, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 4:30 PM, followed by a funeral service at 4:30 PM. Both events will take place at 1604 W Morris St, Indianapolis, IN 46221. Family and friends are invited to come together, sharing memories and celebrating the vibrant life of Timothy R. Gann, a man who left this world too soon, but whose spirit will forever resonate in the hearts of those he loved.
