Thomas Ray VanDuyn, 71, of Anderson, Indiana, passed away on June 19, 2025. Born on August 24, 1953, in Greenfield, Indiana, he was the son of Earl VanDuyn and Grance Kirkendall.
A devoted husband, father, and friend, Thomas spent his life working hard and enjoying the simple pleasures. He was married to the love of his life, Linda VanDuyn, with whom he shared many years of memories. He was a long-time employee of Cook Block and Brick, where he was known for his strong work ethic and for making cement blocks.
Thomas was laid-back was easy to know and easy to like. He loved riding motorcycles, watching wrestling and westerns, playing cards, and most of all, spending time with his large and loving family.
He is survived by his wife, Linda VanDuyn; his children, Brenda Hossman, Iketrica Himes, Tony VanDuyn, David Brinkley, Dinah Wright, Joe VanDuyn, Michael VanDuyn, and Harley VanDuyn; 20 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson. He also leaves behind two very special friends, Greg Hanna and Bobbie Patton.
Thomas was preceded in death by his parents; his siblings; two sons, Tommy VanDuyn and Alvin VanDuyn; one granddaughter; and one great-granddaughter.
Thomas will be remembered for his kind heart, his steady presence, and the love he gave so freely to those around him. He will be deeply missed.
