Theresa Marie Carr

Theresa was born October 12, 1951, in Monterey, TN to William and Margie Dennis. She lived most of her life in Anderson, graduating in 1969 from Anderson High School.

Theresa was a unique person, always choosing to be interested in things somewhat out of the ordinary – not concerned with others’ opinions – not conforming for the sake of acceptance. She was a master bingo player and always ready for taking a chance with a coin game. She was a gifted seamstress, making intricate quilts in her pastime. She was also a talented painter, creating beautiful artwork from ordinary things, a trait she passed on through her bloodline to several members of her family, such as her grandson Kurtis and niece Tami.

She is survived by husband Delbert, sons Kurtis William Maynard (Kim) and Kyle Evan Dance (Alisha); sister Deborah Dennis, niece Tami Puckett, grandchildren Xavier Dance, Jaclyn Flores (Terrence), and Kurtis Maynard (Bianca); great-grandchildren Kamara, Cameron, Sophia, Freya, Barry, and Theodore; great-nephews Kameron Coffin and Skyler Buck; great nieces Kayli and McKenzie Coffin.

Private services and cremation were handled through Legacy Funeral Home – Anderson.
