Terry Wayne Wallace, known to many as "The Gov," passed away on June 23, 2026.

Born on March 16, 1953, in Anderson, Indiana, Terry was the son of Forrest and Betty Wallace. He was raised in Anderson and graduated from Anderson High School.

Terry was a man of few words, known for his easygoing nature and laid-back personality. He found joy in the simple pleasures of life and cherished the time he spent with family. Terry enjoyed bowling, playing cards, golfing, camping, and loved relaxing around a campfire. Terry was a fan of IU Basketball and the Green Bay Packers. One of his greatest companions was his dog, Maggy, whom he adored.

A talented bowler, Terry was proud to be a member of the American Legion and was honored with induction into the USBC Hall of Fame. Bowling also led him to the love of his life. Terry met his wife, Penny, at the final bowling dance held at the UAW Hall. Just six months later, the couple eloped to Reno, beginning a beautiful marriage that spanned 36 years.

Terry is survived by his loving wife, Penny Wallace; his children, Jama Edwards, Ann (Joe) Mathers, Joyel Lucas, April Eldridge, Janette (David) Kollros, and Scottie (Ashley) Wallace; 16 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; his sister, Dianna (Tim) Mudd; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many dear friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Forrest and Betty Wallace, and his brother, Rick Wallace.

Terry will be deeply missed and remembered by those fortunate enough to be a part of his life.
