Tammy Lynn Rutledge

Tammy Lynn Rutledge, 61 gained her eternal reward at 10:56 AM on Thursday, June 19th, 2025, surrounded by those that she loved dearly. Tammy was born in Pineville, Kentucky, on August 10th, 1963. She was the middle child born to Charles F. Widener and Helen Dean Widner. She attended high school in Indianapolis and later in life worked for Flanner Buchanan – Speedway location until she was unable to work. On May 18th, 2015, she married Bruce the love of her life. They were able to celebrate 10 wonderful years together.

For over 20 years, she faithfully attended Abundant Life, The House of Mercy in Danville, IN, where she loved to worship and serve the Lord. She enjoyed singing on the praise team and was the Prayer Coordinator, a position she felt was her calling. She spent hours in prayer for those that were in need of a touch from God.

She enjoyed spending time with family, trips to her beloved mountains of Kentucky, and shopping, which she called her “therapy time.”

She leaves behind a host of family and friends that will miss her dearly including her husband; Bruce Rutledge of Indianapolis, IN, son; Trevor (Samantha) Lee of Greencastle, IN, father; Charles Widener of Monrovia, IN, mother; Helen Widner of Indianapolis, IN, sister Judy Fleenor of Greenwood, IN, brother Mike (Terri) Widner of Westfield, IN, brother; Chuck (Kelly) Widener of Plainfield, IN, sister; Shannon Marley of Gosport, IN, grandson; Garret Dunbar of Brownsburg, IN, and nieces; Jana, Shelby, and Alison. Tammy was preceded in death by her daughter Brandi Milum.

Services will be held on Saturday, June 28th, 2025, at Abundant Life, The House of Mercy at 1003 W. Lincoln Street, Danville, IN from 10:00 AM until time of funeral service at 12:00 PM. Tammy will be laid to rest at Boone Hutcheson Cemetery, Reelsville, IN.
