Steven Michael Deem

Steven Michael Deem, 72, of Indianapolis, passed away on July 23, 2022.  He was born on October 22, 1949, in Parkersburg, WV to the late Carl Davis and Ruth (Shively) Deem.  Steve graduated from Greencastle High School in 1969.  He worked as a Skilled Assembler for Allison Transmission for 45+ years, retiring on December 31, 2016.  Steve was also a volunteer fireman/EMT for the City of Lawrence for many years.

Steve loved to spend time with his family and playing with his grandkids.  He was an avid gun collector.

He is preceded in death by his parents, mentioned above.

Steven is survived by his wife, Carol “Susie” Deem; children, Jason Deem (Erica), Codey Deem (Marissa), and Shawn Deem; grandchildren, Sierra Miller (Blake), Shelby Cruz, Connor Deem, Adelynn Rainey, Landon Deem, Dillon Deem, and Ashton Deem; and great grandson, Levi Miller.

Visitation will be from 3pm to 4pm on Wednesday, July 27, 2022, at Legacy Cremation & Funeral Services, 5215 N. Shadeland Avenue, with a service to start at 4pm.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to MD Anderson Cancer Center.
