Steven Allen Owens

Steven Allen Owens, 60, of Indianapolis, passed away on August 6, 2022.  He was born on September 23, 1961, in Indianapolis to the late John and Josephine (Napier) Owens.  Steve attended Arsenal Tech High School.  He worked hanging dry wall until he couldn’t work anymore.  Steve loved fishing, dancing, singing, listening to music and playing with his grandkids.

He is preceded in death by his parents, mentioned above; 2 brothers, Terry and Richard Owens; 2 sisters, Debbie and Connie Owens; and son, Shawn Heitz.

Steve is survived by his wife of 25 years, Tonya (Wright) Owens; stepmother, Myrna Owens; children, Steven Owens Jr., Brandon Owens, Brent Heitz (Desiree), and Kandi Webster (Marlan); 10 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; brothers, James Owens (Joyce) and John Owens (Margaret); sisters, Linda Wagner (Bill), Tammy Jewell (Randall) and Tracy McMillian (Robert); along with several nieces, nephews, cousins

Visitation will be from 12noon to 2:30pm on Thursday, August 18, 2022, at Legacy Cremation & Funeral Services, 5215 N. Shadeland Avenue, with a service to start at 2:30pm.
