Stephen R. Walsh

Stephen R. Walsh passed away January 3, 2024 at Bethany Point Rehabilitation Center from complications of cancer and heart failure.

Steve retired from Guide Division of General Motors after 30 years of service. His favorite past time was watching sports of all varieties, especially IU basketball and the Indianapolis Colts. He was an Indianapolis Colts season ticket holder for 25 years.

Steve is survived by his son Stephen R. Walsh II (wife Kelly) and daughter April K. Phillips (husband Steve). He is also survived by his beloved granddaughters Danielle Walsh Zubick (husband Sean) and Caitlin Walsh as well as 3 great-grandchildren (Scarlett, Avery and Knox). He is also survived by his nephews, great nieces and nephews and sister Kathy Patterson (husband Dan) and sister in-laws June Walsh and Kathy Walsh. He is also survived by his bonus daughter Kelli Phillips and her children and grandchildren as well as his ever-loving cat Sam.

Steve was preceded in death by his parents John R. and Helen S. Walsh, brothers John R. Walsh II and Timothy R. Walsh, nephews Christopher Walsh and Benjamin Patterson, his best friend Mike Arnold, and his soulmate Trebecca "Becky" Walsh.

There will be no service, however a celebration of life may be held at a later date.
