Stephen V. Tremain

Stephen V. Tremain, age 81, of Anderson, passed away on December 26, 2022, at his home. He was born on August 18, 1941, to Jesse R. Tremain and Gladys O. (Sterman) Tremain.

Stephen grew up in Richmond, IN and was a graduate of Hibbard High School, where he graduated early in his class. After high school, he attended Ball State University and earned is Bachelor’s degree. He then joined the U.S. Army and served for 4 years. He served as Military Police and had his dog companion Stag. He had various jobs throughout the years, but retired as a ceramic tile installer, carrying on his father’s legacy along with his brothers and nephews. He loved to enjoy his leisures in life, going to concerts and enjoying all his friends and family. He was a loving father of 4 and loved spending time with his grandkids and great grandkids. His favorite past-time was traveling across country with his mom and dad. He loved telling stories about all his walks of life. He was a wonderful dad, grandpa, brother, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Stephen is survived by his daughter Tina Callahan (Robby) of Gadsden, Alabama; son Anthony Tremain of Connersvile, Indiana; son Timothy Tremain of Connersville, Indiana; grandchildren Trey Hicks (Tameka) of Madisonville, Tennessee, Wessley Massey (Jamie) of Toney, Alabama, Chase Massey of Connersville, Indiana, Chelsea Tremain of Connersville, Indiana; great-grandchildren Luca Hicks, Mason Hicks, Presley Marshall, and Berkley Massey; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He is preceded in death by his son Stephen V. Tremain Jr.; parents listed above; siblings Robert Tremain (Jo), Jesse Tremain, and James Tremain.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday December 30, 2022 at Legacy Cremation and Funeral Service – Anderson from 4-6pm.
