Sigmund U. Jones Sr., of Indianapolis, departed this life on October 28, 2022. He was born on November 25, 1927, to the late Mattie (Ricketts) and Mose Jones.
He was preceded in death by three sisters and nine brothers.
Left grieving for Sigmund will be his wife Beverly J. of 44 years, sons Eric, Sigmund Jr. (Wanda); two stepchildren Edwin A. Nedd, Linda E. Webb; and sisters-in-law Irma Jones and Barbara Person. He has grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends that will miss him.
He retired from Eli Lilly after 43 years. He enjoyed traveling and playing billiards.
Sigmund will always be in our hearts, thoughts, and prayers.
