Shelton Larry New

    Shelton Larry New, 53, Of Anderson/ Muncie, passed away Wednesday, June 7th,  at Community North in Indianapolis, Indiana.

  Shelton was a free spirit who was known for his love to roam and explore, barefoot, down by the river banks while finding comfort in nature.

  When he was not spending time by water side, Shelton also enjoyed spending time with his friends and loved ones, as well as, volunteering to feed the homeless.

  Shelton was also known for his high intelligence and his love for music, books, poetry, and his bible.

  Shelton is survived by his two brothers Shannon and Charles New; Four nephews, Spencer New, Solomen Lacy, Serge Lacy & Scott Barnes; And two nieces, Stephanie Barnes-Davis & Amanda Barnes, as well as many great nieces and nephews and his beloved In-Laws With whom he became very close to in recent years.

  Shelton was preceded in death by his mother, Beverly Walker-New, His father Larry New, His sisters, Spring and Shirelle New, and his Wife, Gina Key-New.

  Shelton was a man who lived on his own terms, and although we are deeply saddened by his passing, he would rather see our smiles, not our tears.
