Shelly Jackson

Shelly Jackson, a beloved daughter, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away on February 22, 2024, in Anderson, Indiana. Born on January 12, 1962, in Elwood, Indiana, Shelly was the cherished daughter of Ray and Mona Cyphers.

Shelly's life was marked by her deep love for her family, especially her children and grandchildren. She found immense joy in engaging in activities with her kids, and her grandbabies held a special place in her heart. Whether it was spending quality time with them or simply watching them grow, Shelly found her greatest happiness in their presence.

In addition to her devotion to family, Shelly had a passion for shopping, dressing up, and pampering herself with manicures. She was a woman of strength and determination, possessing a fiery spirit that was tempered by her boundless love and compassion. Shelly was known to be resolute when necessary, yet always guided by her unwavering faith in God.

Throughout her life, Shelly found solace in the simple pleasures of watching movies and sharing laughter with her loved ones. 

Shelly is survived by her daughters, Chasity Bannon and Haley Smoots, and her adored grandchildren, Zander Bannon, Zyler Graggs, J'Vion Smith, Legend Smith, and August Smoots; Best friends Trina Galbreath and Amy Cutsinger; and cousin, Linda Cummins. She leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter that will be cherished by her family and friends forever.

In the hearts of those who knew her best, Shelly will be remembered as one heck of a woman—strong-willed, feisty, and endlessly loving. She will be deeply missed.

Shelly is preceded in death by her parents, Ray and Mona Cummins Cyphers, and her son-in-law, Terrance Smoots. She is now reunited with her loved ones in eternal peace.
