Sheldon LaQuan Roberts

Sheldon LaQuan Roberts, 28, of Indianapolis, Indiana, passed away on August 10, 2026. He was born on August 3, 1998, in Indianapolis, to Amy Roberts and Preistcellius Brown.

Sheldon was a graduate of Lawrence Central High School. He was a loving son, brother, and friend whose playful spirit and gentle nature touched everyone who knew him. A true jokester, Sheldon had a gift for making people laugh and could light up any room with his infectious smile and fun-loving personality. He enjoyed spending his free time skateboarding and expressing himself artistically through drawing and tattoos. Above all, he loved his family deeply and treasured the relationships he shared with those around him.

Sheldon leaves behind his mother, Amy Roberts (Josh Williams); his father, Preistcellius Brown; and his beloved brother, Sean Roberts, with whom he was raised and shared an unbreakable bond. He is also survived by his paternal siblings, Priest, Jordan, Tray, Aaliyah, Little Priest, Heaven, Nova, and Savanna. Sheldon’s family was large and beautifully blended, and he embraced the many family relationships that shaped his life. He also leaves behind Josh Williams’ daughters, Joshaé and Janaya Williams, with whom he shared a close and loving relationship.

He will be remembered by his grandparents, Steve and Tammy Howard and Cheryl Nichols, and great-grandfather John Howard; his aunts and uncles, Karie Roberts, Tamera Roberts (Jimmy Edwards), Jamie (Ryan) Quesenberry, Nissa Moss, Trell Moss, Ree Brown, and Sandy (William) Sizemore; as well as many great-aunts, great-uncles, extended relatives, and dear friends.

Sheldon was blessed with a large extended family and many cousins who were more like siblings to him. Among those closest to his heart were Clarence Webb; Jimmy, Tyler, Corey, Mason, and Jade Roberts; and Finn and Ford Quesenberry. He also leaves behind many other beloved cousins, relatives, and friends who will forever cherish his memory.

Sheldon was preceded in death by his grandparents, Sunee Edwards and Steve Roberts; his great-grandparents; his great-aunt; his beloved cousin and close friend, Antonio Edwards; as well as other cherished relatives and loved ones who were an important part of his life.

Family was at the heart of Sheldon’s life. He was surrounded by a wide and loving circle of siblings, cousins, relatives, and friends, and he had a special ability to form meaningful bonds with those around him. His family will remember not only the relationships they shared with him, but also the laughter, love, and joy he brought into their lives.

Those who knew Sheldon will remember his infectious smile, playful sense of humor, kindness, and gentle spirit. He brought laughter and warmth wherever he went and left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him. His memory will live on through the many people who loved him, laughed with him, and called him family or friend.

He will be deeply missed, forever loved, and always remembered.
