Sheila Green, 83, of Anderson Indiana passed away May 30th surrounded by her family. She is survived by her partner Steve Weston, son Jeff (Rebecca) Dunn, daughter Kelly (Larry) Walters, brother Jim (Susie) Perkins, sister Norma Weston, sister-in-law Sherry Perkins, sister-in-law Trudy Perkins, grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and many other loved ones.
Sheila was a loving wife and mother and was preceded in death by her husband Carl Green, son Brian Dunn, grandson Nick Dunn, parents Paul and Myrtle Perkins, brothers Bill (Pat) Perkins and Bob Perkins, sister Marilyn (Dick) Vandergrift and brother-in-law Wayne Weston.
Sheila was also a fantastic Grandma to six great kids and their spouses: Nick Dunn (deceased), Jason (Wendee) Dunn, Holly (German) Dunn, Adrian (Kaitie) Dunn, Annie (Devin) Evans, and Karlie Walters. She was a Great Grandma or “Gigi” to 14 grandchildren and had just been promoted to a Great-Great Grandma in November 2023 to Christian Dunn.
Sheila was born in Anderson Indiana on February 20, 1941, fourth in line of six siblings. She graduated from Highland High School in 1959. She worked as a waitress before going to work for Delco Remy and became a lifelong member of the UAW in Anderson. Her friends and family remember her as a quiet, giving soul. Her greatest joy was in finding something “special” for someone. She attended Meadowbrook Baptist Church.
Friends and Family can call on her at Legacy Funeral Home (504 W 9th Street Anderson IN 46016) from 4PM to 6PM on June 10th with a service immediately following at 6PM.
