Shawn Leon Abel

Shawn Leon Abel, 44, of Indianapolis, passed away on April 21, 2023.  On June 26, 1978 Shawn was born to Toni Meeks and the late Doug Abel.  As an adult Shawn went back to school and earned his bachelor’s degree in business from Indiana Wesleyan College.  Shawn is survived by his mother, Toni Meeks, his children, Christian, Olivia, and Dylan, his granddaughter, Malani, and the love of his life and mother to his children, Casey Barth, his siblings, Shannon Reasor, Frankie Reasor, and Billy Meeks, 9 nieces and nephews along with 1 great nephew, his uncle Dave and aunt Marry and, many cousins.  Shawn was preceded in death by his twin brother, Scott Abel and nephew Scotty Abel and his father Doug Abel.  He leaves behind a host of friends as well as the many hearts he touched along his life time.  Service for Shawn will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday at Legacy Cremation Funeral & Services – Indianapolis, with visitation from 11:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.  Burial will follow at New Crown Cemetery.
