Sharon Kay Wells

Sharon Kay Wells (Wools), age 81, of Anderson, went to be with Jesus on February 21, 2023. She was born on April 27, 1941, in Alexandria to Clarence and Alma Wools.

Sharon was a dedicated Christian woman and proud to be so. She was fiery, stubborn at times, but always loving. She enjoyed dancing, crafts, writing poems and short stories, and baking her chocolate pudding, fudge, making homemade ice cream and peanut butter pies. She loved to spend time with her close cousins and enjoyed the close relationship that they all had. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, aunt and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Sharon is survived by her husband of 38 years, JR Wells; children Vickie (Wools) Addison, Gregory J. Haggard, and Christina J. (Wools) Barclay; grandchildren Matthew and Arlene Wools, Nathan and Shannon Addison, Vince Johnson, Sterling Barclay, Sylias Haggard, Joshua Haggard, and Kyle McClairen; great-grandchildren Chelsea and Jesse Chavera, Dakota and Keely Wools, Danica Wools, Justin Addison, Isabella Addison, Corbin, Shelby, Alexus; great-great grandchildren Destiny Wools, Caliana, Alania, Aaliyah Chavera, Hartleigh, Vince Lee Johnson, Alyssa, DJ, and Harper Haggard; sister-in-law Sharon Clevenger; cousins-in-law Larry and Alice Wells; friends Marcella Reger and Mary Beth Watson; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Sharon is preceded in death by her parents listed above, sister Carol Wools, son Danny L. Haggard, niece Kathy Wycoff, mother-in-law Velma Wells, and father-in-law Carol H. Wells Sr.

A visitation will be held on Monday February 27, 2023, from 12pm-2pm with a funeral service beginning at 2pm at Legacy Cremation and Funeral Service – Anderson. Burial will take place at Maplewood Cemetery.

There will be a dinner to follow at Church at Linwood, 600 North St, Anderson, IN 46017.
