Sharon Boggs Cox, 85, of Anderson, Indiana, went to her heavenly home on June 23, 2026.

She was born on May 23, 1941, in New Castle, Indiana, Sharon was the daughter of Benjamin and Lillian Madison. She was raised in Eden, Indiana, and graduated from Hancock Central High School in 1959. During her school years, she was a cheerleader, majorette, and choir member, sharing the beautiful singing voice that would continue to bring joy to others throughout her life.

Sharon retired from Delco Remy after more than 20 years of dedicated service. A woman of deep faith, she loved Jesus, her family, and her country. She lived a life marked by generosity, supporting veterans, military members, and evangelists.

Sharon was fun-loving, quick-witted, and a jokester. She especially cherished the special bond she shared with her beloved sister, Caroline Sue. Together they were "two peas in a pod" and the life of every gathering. Whether playing games, raising their children together, or simply enjoying each other's company, their close-knit relationship was very special to Sharon. If they happen to be partners in a game, everyone knew to watch out!

One of Sharon's greatest joys was bringing people together. Her home was always open to family and friends, and she loved hosting gatherings filled with games, dancing, laughter, and fellowship. Having worked second shift for many years, Sharon was a night owl. Her children remember being awakened on Friday nights after she got off work for spontaneous late-night drives to White Castle in Indianapolis.

After retirement, Sharon and her friends became known as the "Tea Ladies," who met regularly at MCL. When MCL closed, the tradition continued at Garfield's, where they gathered weekly for friendship, laughter & antics. All of Sharon’s friends were “characters” to varying degrees. One in particular is Patti Kay Helms. Oh, the stories these 2 could tell that would have people rolling in laughter. Think of the show I Love Lucy and the comedy of Lucy Ricardo & Ethel Mertz. This was Sheri Rose & Patti Kay.

Sharon also enjoyed shopping and spending time by the ocean in Florida. Each year she had a spring break girls' trip to the beach for a week of Fun in the Sun. Afterwards, her family would join her, creating treasured memories for a lifetime.

Sharon is survived by her daughter, Shelly (Tim) Harvey; her son, Shannon Boggs; grandchildren, Dustin Moore, Amanda Moore, Casey (Brook) Prine, Kevin (Anne) Harvey, and Noah Boggs; great-grandchildren, Tiffany, Olivia, Autumn Rose, Owen, Jake, Madeline, and Cooper; niece, Kelly (Scottie) Seybert; and nephew, Shawn Spears.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Benjamin and Lillian Madison; her brother, Danny Madison; and her loving sister, Caroline (Dale) Spears.

Sharon will be remembered for her faith, her beautiful voice, her generous heart, her love of family and country, and the joy she brought to everyone who knew her. Her legacy of love, laughter, friendship, and faith will continue to live on in the many lives she touched.
