Sarabeth Ogden

October 4, 1929 — February 23, 2024

Indianapolis, Indiana

Sarabeth Ogden, 94, of Indianapolis passed away on February 23, 2024. She was born on October 4, 1929, to Harry and Marie (Hockman) Fry. She married Robert H. Ogden, and they had six children together.

When she was not taking care of her husband and children, Sarabeth was employed as a school bus driver, and later, she and her daughter started their own business, the Dust Masters, cleaning people's homes. She also was a "taxi driver" for her children driving them to various activities and athletic practices because it enabled her to spend as much time as possible with her family.

Family was incredibly important to Sarabeth. For the most part, she enjoyed staying home with her family rather than going out, although she did enjoy traveling to Ft. Wayne and Brazil on occasion to see her two brothers and two sisters, and on Sundays, she and daughter, Tamie would attend mass at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Sundays also had Sarabeth cheering on the Colts, and her favorite player, Peyton Manning. Sarabeth enjoyed cooking for her family, and her husband and kids appreciated it too. They usually couldn't restrain themselves from devouring her delicious cheesecakes, for which she was well known. Sarabeth also enjoyed dancing with her husband to the jitterbug and watching movies, particularly comedies, and she loved to read as well. Sarabeth enjoyed reading a variety of books from both the fiction and non-fiction genres, and most importantly, she read the Bible daily as a testament to her faith.

Sarabeth is survived by her children: Robert, Tamie, Thomas, and Jeff. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert H. Ogden; and two of her children, Anita Overman and Mark Ogden.
