Sandra K. Jones

Sandra K. Jones, age 79, of Anderson, passed away at Greenwood Meadows on April 12, 2023. She was born on September 15, 1943, in Anderson to the late William and Lola Mae (Beal) Davis.

Sandy graduated from Madison Heights High School and attended Anderson College.  Sandy retired from JCPenney as a Manager.  Prior to and after her retirement, she was a proud stay at home mom.

Her family was everything and she made it her mission in life to make sure they never went without and always felt loved.  She was a strong woman who was a huge staple in her family. Her grandchildren were everything to her. Her home to her family was considered a park, always having a wonderful garden and birds chirping. She and her late husband Larry built their home from the ground up. She loved to plan family gatherings and entertain family and friends. Growing up she was a mother figure to her siblings, making sure they were taken care of. She was a true caretaker to all. She was a wonderful wife, mother, sister, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Sandy is survived by her daughters Tracy Gilliam (Brett) and Tammy Koziol; grandchildren Drake Gilliam, Bryce Gilliam, Taylor Koziol, and Katelyn Koziol; siblings Rene Lissy (Terry), Steve Davis (Tammy), Julie Cortrecht; and several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents listed above; husband Larry Jones; granddaughter, Angel Koziol; and brothers, Bill Davis (Sharon) and Danny Davis.
