Ruth Elizabeth Stump

Ruth Elizabeth Stump passed away peacefully on September 24, 2023, with family members by her side. She was a devout Christian and lifelong member of The Church of the brethren. She played the accordion, organ piano and was a choir member. She loved counted cross stitch and was a wonderful cook. She worked in food service all her life and retired from St. John’s Hospital in Anderson.

She is survived by five children: Shirley (Jim) McIndoo, Jeff (Marilyn) Stump, Gary (Kathy) Stump, Mark Stump, and Scott (Mila) Stump. She has eight grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. Along with a sister-in-law Mary Boyer.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Stump; brother David Boyer; her parents William and Anna Boyer.

The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff at Bethel Pointe for their love and wonderful care given.

At Ruth’s request, a private funeral ceremony is being held.
