Ruth M. Gibson, passed away on October 4, 2026, in Indianapolis, Indiana. She was born on July 13, 1962, in Lawrenceburg, Indiana to the late Gary and Mary Lou Wallace.

Ruth will be remembered as an adventurous woman whose family meant the world to her. She loved celebrating holidays and birthdays, bringing the people she loved together and making those occasions special. She also had a deep love for animals, especially dogs and cats. Her companions included her two cats, Victor and Farf, and her dog, Toby. Ruth's interests were diverse. She loved riding motorcycles with her husband as they enjoyed the freedom of being out on the open road. They also enjoyed playing darts together and occasionally participating in dart tournaments. As part of her adventurousness, Ruth enjoyed traveling, and one of her favorite places to visit was Tennessee near Knoxville, where she loved exploring the outdoors and the beauty of the Great Smoky Mountains.

In her working life, Ruth served as the lead supervisor for MD Logistics. She was also well known in the family for her famous meatloaf, a dish remembered with affection by those who shared her table.

Above all, Ruth cherished her family. She is survived by her husband, Eddie Gibson; her stepdaughters, Michelle Gibson and April Gibson; and her stepson, Paul Gibson and his wife, Chelsey. She is also survived by her brother, Tim Wallace, and his wife, Alice; her sister-in-law, Linda Holder; her nephews Joshua Scott and his wife, Tera, Steven Scott and his wife, Kayce, and James Holder; and her cousins, Kathy Malcome and Amy McCullah. Ruth will also be missed by her six grandchildren and by many great nephews and nieces. Each of them carries forward treasured memories of her warmth, her adventurous spirit, and the love she gave so freely.

She was preceded in death by her father, Gary Wallace; her mother, Mary Lou Wallace; her sister, Melissa Scott; and her brother, Greg Holder.
