Roy Skidmore

Roy Skidmore, age 73, currently living in Lebanon, IN, passed away unexpectedly on April 26, 2023. He was born in Harlan, Kentucky to the late Robert Skidmore and Ethel Reavis.

Roy was a long-haul truck driver for many years, and he thoroughly enjoyed that job. He had a heart bigger than himself and was truly generous to a fault. He was a huge motorcycle enthusiast and spent as much time as he could riding. He was a leader in every sense of the word. He enjoyed listening to Blues music. Roy lived his life to the fullest. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandpa, brother, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Roy is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Yolanda Skidmore; daughter Le Ann Skidmore-Sheets (Anthony); grandchildren Kayla Padgett (Thomas), Anthony “AJ” Sheets (Lisa), and Jake Sheets; great-grandchildren Evan Padgett, Isaiah Padgett, Riot Padgett, Havok Padgett, Adeline Padgett, Chloe Sheets, Kennedy Sheets, and Serenity Sheets; siblings Lois, Phyllis, Zella, Elizabeth, Roger, and Keith; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents listed above and brother Paul.

A visitation will be held on Friday May 5, 2023, from 4-6pm with a funeral service beginning at 6pm at Legacy Cremation and Funeral Service – Anderson.
