Robert Lawrence Rayne Jr

Robert Lawrence Rayne Jr., 82, passed away on July 6, 2026, in Indianapolis, IN. Robert was born in Everett, Massachusetts, on August 3, 1943, to Dorothy (DuPont) and Robert Lawrence Rayne Sr. He was a devoted member of his community and served as a K9 officer, rescue diver, and firearms instructor for the police department.

In his free time, Robert loved camping, traveling, boating, and cooking for friends and family. He spent many years as an elder in the congregation, and loved to teach people about the Bible. Some of his best memories were made with his Newfiepoo, Jocko.

Loved ones who preceded Robert in passing include his devoted wife, Carol Rayne, parents, Brother David Rayne, and grandson Conner Rayne.

He is survived by his children, Robert L Rayne III, Darla Rayne(Rehm), Charles A Rayne, Kim Rayne(Coddington), Gregory T Rayne, Aubrie Rayne(Easter); Grandchildren, Sarah Rayne, (Mathew Keough), Olivia Brown (Rayne), Jarren Brown, Parker Rayne, Claudia Rayne (Choc), Nicholas Rayne and Kaylin Rayne, and Jackson Sanders; also, his three great grandchildren Molly Rayne-Keough, Millie Brown, and Ellie Rayne-Keough. And his nephews David Rayne and Joseph Rayne.

Cremation arrangements provided by Legacy Cremation & Funeral Services – Lawrence. Memorial services are scheduled for Saturday, July 18th at 4:00pm at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses 4512 N Richardt St Lawrence, IN 46226.
