Robert Ray Owens

Robert Ray Owens, age 66, of Anderson, passed away at St. Vincent Anderson Hospital on October 25, 2022. He was born in Anderson on July 13, 1956.

Robert lived in Anderson, Indiana all of his life. He worked for Burco and Delco Remy for many years. Before that, he also served in the Army National Guard. In his free time, he enjoyed bowling and playing softball. He was a stubborn but caring man who loved to make jokes. He was goofy and fun in all aspects. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Robert is survived by his children Tiffany McNeely (Brent), Joshua Hamel (Kandy), and Bobby Owens Jr.; grandchildren Kadyn and Keagan McNeely, Kailey Hamel, Kristi Truax, Jay Hamel, and Elijah Owens; sister Marilyn Ogburn; nephews Dennis Ogburn (Rayanna), Kent Ogburn (Debbie), and Kevin Ogburn; great-niece and nephews Ashley, Shea, Anthony, and Nathan; and many special friends.

He is preceded in death by his children Matthew Owens and Kristy Owens, parents Garvis and Bertha Turner, brother-in-law Roy Ogburn, and nephew Tony Ogburn.

Cremation was chosen through Legacy Cremation and Funeral Service – Anderson.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to all the staff at Vermillion Place, Countryside Manor, and St. Vincent Anderson for the care and compassion towards Robert.
