INDIANAPOLIS, IN
Rita Joan (Stafford) Eby, 73, passed away May 12. She was born in Indianapolis on August 16, 1947. Rita was a member of Glendale Christian Church for over 25 years. She was also a troop leader, alongside her husband Sam, for Boy Scouts of America. Rita was a Registered Nurse until her retirement in 2010.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Duarward “Sam” Eby, Jr. Parents, John M Stafford and Bertha Rowena (Stull) Stafford. Sister, Mary Catherine (Stafford) Eby.
She is survived by 5 children, Penelope (Michael) Couch, Konstance (Jack Perry) Eby, Samantha (Danielle) Eby-Reel, Duarward S. (Amy) Eby III, and Matthew (Cherilyn) Eby; 17 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren. Brother, John J (Janice) Stafford.
Graveside service will be held Wednesday, June 3, 2020 at 10:00am at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, Greenwood, Indiana.
Memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society.
