Ricky Duane Everhart Jr., born on October 17, 1973, in Anderson, Indiana, passed away unexpectedly on June 2, 2025, in Indianapolis, Indiana. He was a beloved figure whose presence will be profoundly missed by all who knew him.
Ricky dedicated most of his life to a career in computers, demonstrating exceptional skills that made him extremely computer savvy. He had a remarkable ability to take apart and reassemble almost anything he could get his hands on, often surprising those around him with his technical prowess. In addition to his professional pursuits, Ricky enjoyed woodworking and tinkering in his garage, finding joy in working with his hands and creating meaningful projects.
A proud veteran, he served in the United States Marines for a brief period before being honorably discharged due to medical reasons. This experience was a testament to his character and commitment.
Described as an old soul and a homebody, Ricky had a remarkable personality characterized by his big heart. He was known for his playful nature, often picking on friends and family in a lighthearted manner that brought laughter and joy to those around him. His goofy and funny demeanor endeared him to many, and he was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.
One of Ricky's proudest accomplishments was his role as a grandparent. This position brought him immense happiness, and he cherished the time spent with his grandchildren, often engaging in playful wrestling matches in the living room. His grandchildren knew that they could always count on their pa to fulfill their wishes, creating countless treasured memories together.
Ricky was also a devoted dog lover and shared his life with his beloved pets, Max, Steven, and Avery, who provided him with companionship and joy.
Ricky is survived by his wife of 8 years, Kelly Everhart; children Kaylee Caulk (Logan), Alyssa Everhart, Isaiah Davis, Elijah Boram, Alyvia Boram, and Hayleigh Sanders; grandchildren Aria, Eliza, Preston, Brantley, and Bailey; mother Diane Berg and stepfather Timothy Berg; siblings Jonathan Kerr (Allison), Kandy Berg, Margaret Berg, and Ruby Berg; nephew Weston Kerr; niece Bella Kerr; uncle Willie Boles (Veronica); Aunts Tamera Likens (Tom), Donna Boles, and Connie Berg; and several cousins.
He is preceded in death by his father Rick Everhart Sr, brother Tim Berg, Uncle William Boles and grandparents Clarence and Thelma Boles.
