Rickey Lee Rogers

Rickey Lee Rogers, 81, of Marion, Indiana, went to be with Jesus on January 12, 2026.

He was born on April 6, 1944, in Upland, Indiana, to Jess and Beatrice Rogers. Rickey graduated from Upland High School. In his younger years he played basketball, was a member of FFA, and raised hogs. He went on to work for General Motors for 32 years, retiring after decades of dedicated service.

Rickey enjoyed spending time outdoors. He especially loved water and snow skiing, camping with family, woodworking, and golfing. Time spent with those he loved meant the most to him, and many cherished memories were made through shared adventures and simple moments together.

Rickey attended Oak Chapel in Marion, Indiana. He enjoyed the little country church where Pastor Gary Newton serves. At the age of 80, Rickey chose to be baptized on April 14, 2024, a decision that reflected his personal walk with the Lord.

Rickey was preceded in death by his parents, Jess and Beatrice Rogers; and his siblings: Francis (Will) Lightle, Charlene (Harry) Rhoton, Marie Shore, Jean (John) DeCamp, Jack (Nancy) Rogers, Jerry (Michelle) Rogers, and Jackie (Dave) Holloway.

He is survived by his wife, Rita Rogers; daughters Robin (Tom) McAfee, Jennifer (David) Durkes, and Tamara (Jamie) Bischoff; sons Dustin (Amanda) Rogers and Casey (Pamela) Rogers; 12 grandchildren: Zack (Darcy) McAfee, Tyler McAfee, Allyson McAfee, Derek (Ashton) Durkes, Joel Durkes, Halee (Chris) Duckwall, Hannah Bischoff, Angie Moore, Josiah Rogers, Naomi Rogers, Andrew Rogers, and Madysyn Rogers; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Rickey will be remembered for his love of family and the many memories he shared with those around him.
