Richard R. Butler, of the Anderson, Indiana, passed away on April 18, 2024. He was born on January 2, 1950, in Elizabeth City, North Carolina, to Lemuel and Mahalia Butler. Richard served his country with honor in the Navy for nine years before embarking on a career as a skilled plumber and dedicated truck driver.
Known for his friendly demeanor, outgoing personality, and deep affection for dogs, Richard touched the lives of many with his warmth and kindness. His memory will be cherished by all who knew him.
Richard is survived by his stepson, Jason Doyle of Mansfield, Ohio, and his siblings Cindy Gray (Larry) of New Pal, Jeanne Lennon of Greenfield, Jim Butler of Greenfield, and Ralph Butler of Carthage, Indiana. Additionally, he leaves behind five nieces and nephews, as well as numerous cherished friends.
He is preceded in death by his son, Nathan Butler, his wife, Shelley Butler, his parents Lemuel and Mahalia Butler, and his sisters Carol Turner and Jane Butler.
May his gentle soul rest in peace, forever remembered and dearly missed.
