Randall Cartwright

Randall “Randy” Cartwright, 64, of Indianapolis, passed away on May 8, 2025. He was born on March 25, 1961, in Indianapolis, to the late Glen and Sandra (Heckman) Cartwright. Randy graduated from John Marshall High School in 1979. He worked at A1 Vacuum for many years, then at Ford Motor Company as a Machine Jobsetter for 13 years, and for the last several years became the Manager of Sewing and Vacuum Authority. Randy was a longtime member of North Eastwood Christian Church, a lifetime member of Bass Pro Shops, a lifelong bowler, golfer, fisherman, mentor, and coach to many young athletes.

Randy loved God, his family, and friends. Randy was known to be very generous in all aspects of his life. He was generous in the way he gave gifts that were personal and were his way of saying “I love you.” Randy was also unashamedly generous in sharing his opinions and stories with whomever would listen. He was generous in the time and knowledge he had gained to help with the numerous house projects he worked on. He was generous with his laughter that was best shared when he was at the lake with friends. He was generous in his coaching abilities for baseball with his kids throughout their childhoods. Randy was also generous in his love for sharing the word of God and letting everyone know how much he loved his beautiful wife, “the best catch of his life.”

Randy and his wife, Pam, welcomed Randy’s father, Glen, into their home for the last 6 years of his life to care for him. Glen preceded Randy in death by only a few months, passing away on February 15th. Randy is also preceded in death by his mother, Sandra.

Randy is survived by his loving wife of 28 years, Pam Cartwright; children, Garrett Cartwright, Austin Cartwright, and Brittany (Seth) Fleming; along with numerous other cherished family members, along with his many brothers and sisters in Christ.

There will be a visitation from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday, May 16, 2025, at Legacy Cremation & Funeral Services, 5215 N. Shadeland Avenue, with a service to start at 2 p.m. Burial to follow at Washington Park East Cemetery, Indianapolis, IN.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Randy's Go Fund Me Account to assist the family with final expenses.
