R. Charles Martin

Revada “Charles” Martin, 64, of Middletown, Indiana, passed away on June 21, 2026, due to complications from an extended illness.

Charles was born on November 22, 1961, in Kokomo, Indiana, to Ralph and Mary Martin. He graduated from Clinton Central High School in Michigantown, Indiana, with the Class of 1980.

Charles served his country in the United States Marine Corps. He later married the love of his life, Sandra Banks Martin, in Amarillo, Texas. They shared 32 years of marriage together. Charles remained proud and devoted to Sandra and they lived a full life together until her passing in November 2015.

Those who knew Charles will remember him as a kind, considerate, and generous man with a big heart. Quiet and private by nature, he was always willing to help others. He enjoyed time spent with family and friends.

Charles enjoyed bowling, strumming his guitar, and listening to music. After becoming disabled, he spent much of his time on his computer, surfing the web and staying connected to the world around him.

Charles is survived by his brother, Richard Martin; sisters, Paula Leigh and Tina (Todd) Stutzman; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Sandra Banks Martin; his parents, Ralph and Mary Martin; his brother, David Martin; his nephew, Nick Parrish; and his great-niece, Ashton Hope Wilson.

Charles kindness and quiet strength will remain in the hearts of those who loved him.
