R. Jeanne Kirk

R. Jeanne Kirk, age 78, of Anderson, IN passed away on May 28, 2023, at Community Hospital North in Indianapolis. She was born on September 15, 1944, to the late Glenn and Nellie (Clark) Hutchison.

Jeanne was a nurse at Community Hospital in Anderson for 35 years. Being a nurse was something she wanted from a very young age. While caring for each patient, one at a time, she also made great contributions to the nursing profession. Her dedication to helping people would always continue past her shift at the hospital. It continued long after she retired from Community Hospital. She never retired, really, as she always had her eyes and heart open and her helping hands fully extended to those who needed something even outside of those hospital walls.

She and her family shared a unique sense of humor that they were able to enjoy up to the day before she passed. Her experiences traveling with her husband Rick and family, taking vacations, going skiing and more gave her such a rich collection of memories that she treasured.

Jeanne was smart and very kind. Jeanne was a wonderful wife, a loving and compassionate mother, a loving sister, and a thoughtful dedicated friend if you were lucky to know her. She will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her husband of 34 years, Richard Kirk; children Lisa R. Tyner Troxell (Timothy), Blane E. Tyner, Kim Komor (John), and Carla Freeman; grandchildren Abby M. Troxell, Matt Montgomery (Sharon), Ted Montgomery (Mary), Sydne Freeman, and Payton Freeman; great-grandchildren Kingsley, Ainsley, Aiden, Lilly and Beckett; sister-in-law Pat Hutchison; nephews Keith Hutchison and Andy Hutchison (Maggie); niece Sarah Cheney (Justin); and great-niece Elsa Cheney.

She is preceded in death by her parents Glenn and Nellie (Clark) Hutchison and brother Donald Hutchison.

Cremation was handled though Legacy Cremation and Funeral Service in Anderson, IN.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
