Purvis Leroy Reynolds, 88, of Pendleton, Indiana, passed away November 18, 2021 after a long life of making those around him “Be Happy”.
Leroy was born July 9, 1933 to Purvis Reynolds and Mabel (Deckard) Reynolds in Vincennes, Indiana.
He worked hard to support family starting at the early age of ten on a road crew with his grandfather. He served in the army as a paratrooper. Leroy worked at Cohron’s Manufactured Homes for years, where he added to a long list of friends and family.
His longest and proudest job has been that of a father and Papaw. This job will be everlasting, for his love will be in our hearts forever and will be passed on for generations to come.
Leroy was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Glenna Frett and Dixie Reynolds, brothers Gene Sammon and Sheldon Reynolds, and his children, Julie and Ron Reynolds.
Leroy is survived by his sister Rita Lewis, children Cindy (Dave) Frohbeiter, Mike Westfall, Staretta (Rick) Kelley, Rick (Deanna) Taylor, Jeff, Chris, and Angie Reynolds, nineteen grandchildren and twenty great-grandchildren.
Leroy was also a father figure and Papaw to so many others. He touched the lives of everyone who knew him.
Leroy did not want funeral services. Family will be having a celebration of life. Soon to be announced.
