Phillip Wayne Ivy, 66, of Anderson, IN, passed away from complications of a stroke at home with his family by his side on January 13, 2024. He was born on May 5, 1957, in Coffeyville, Kansas. Phillip graduated from Knightstown High School. Phil was self-employed in the automobile glass repair industry.
Phil was an avid golfer. It wasn’t unusual for him to hit the green with his close cousin, Joe. Rumor has it, he always won, for he was very competitive. Phil was a carefree and witty spirit with a very giving heart. He was a reserved kind of person and never wanted to be the center of attention. Phil’s many visits were enjoyed by family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Carolyn, who passed away from childbirth; father, Robert Ivy; and great nephew, Oliver Davidson.
Phil is survived by his mother, Barbara Ivy; brother, William Ivy (Karen); sister, Sharon Brannen (Wayne); nieces, Elaine Ivy and Lydia Ivy; nephews, William Ivy, Adam Davidson, Martin Davidson, and Cory Davidson; special cousin, Joe Williams; aunts who Phil was very close to, Betty Sells and Wanda Curry; along with many extended family and friends.
Cremation arrangements provided by Legacy Cremation & Funeral Services – Anderson. Phil’s final resting place will be at a cemetery in Coffeyville, Kansas at a later date.
Gratitude to Dr. Santos, Community Hospital and Hospice for your compassionate care.
