Paula Rogers, a beloved member of the Indianapolis community and retired sheriff deputy of the Indianapolis Sheriff’s Department, passed away on January 7th, 2023, at the age of 64. Born on September 2nd, 1958, Paula was the daughter of Jessie Miller of Thornton, Kentucky, who she deeply missed.
Paula was a graduate of Thomas Carl Howe High School, in Irvington, IN, and was known for her dedication to charitable causes and acts of kindness towards everyone she met. She had a love and devotion for animals, enjoyed traveling, and appreciated all things beautiful. She often entered contests and won prizes for her family, friends, and charitable causes.
Paula was a devoted mother to her children, Michael Kirlin (Jill) and Mandy Byrd-Collins (James), and a loving grandmother to Corey Kirlin (Mariah), Sean Byrd, Jacob Kirlin, Victoria Byrd, Joseph Kirlin, Olivia Collins, Sophia Collins, Vanessa Collins, and James Collins. She was also a great-grandmother to Dayton Kirlin, Savannah Kirlin, and Easton Kirlin.
Paula leaves behind a legacy of love and generosity.
