In Loving Memory of Patricia Lane Markovich
Anderson, IN - Our hearts are heavy as we announce the passing of Patricia Lane Markovich, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Born in Carthage, TN on May 8, 1950, she peacefully left this world on April 26, 2024.
Patricia was known for her unwavering commitment to her family. Her son and grandsons held a special place in her heart, and she went above and beyond to ensure their well-being. Family was everything to her, and she found joy in being a source of love and support for her loved ones. Patricia's caring nature extended beyond her relatives as she touched the lives of many through her work in the hospital.
Those who knew Patricia will remember her as a fun-loving jokester with a heart of gold. Her patience knew no bounds, earning her the reputation of having the tolerance of a saint. Despite her busy schedule, she always made time for the things she enjoyed most. Gardening brought her solace, watching the evening news kept her informed, and listening to the radio provided a comforting background to her days. Baking was something she was especially good at and enjoyed.
In addition to being a dedicated professional and a nurturing mother and grandmother, Patricia was a true homebody at heart. She found joy in the simple moments spent with those she loved, creating cherished memories that will be treasured forever.
Patricia Lane Markovich leaves behind her loving husband of 42 years Jonathan Markovich; son LeMann Dea (Carla); grandchildren Aaron Dea and Corey Dea (Natalie) brothers Gary Bates and Barry Bates (Kitty); Cousin Marie Vansel; and best friend Mary Smith (Earl). Although she may no longer walk beside us, her spirit will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her.
She is preceded in death by her parents Roy and Edna Bates, and sisters Sheila Welch and Donna Dickerson.
A visitation will be held on Friday May 3, 2024, from 11am-1pm at Legacy Cremation and Funeral Services - Anderson. A funeral service will be held at the Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery Chapel at 1:30pm.
