Patricia Ellen Wright

Patricia Ellen Wright, age 91, of Anderson, passed away on July 4, 2023, at Sugar Fork Crossing in Anderson. She was born on November 26, 1931, in Huntington, IN to the late Frances Eugene Shockome and Ruby Juliet Shockome.

Patricia was a devote Catholic in every sense of the word. She was strict and strong in her faith. Raising her children was her number one priority and she always made sure they never went without. She was always busy making sure everything was taken care of and her home was exquisitely tidy. She was straight-forward in her mannerisms but always made her family feel safe and loved. She was a wonderful wife and took pride in caring for her husband. Patricia enjoyed crafting, artistry, bowling, fishing, and boating. She had a love for lady bugs. She will truly be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Patricia is survived by her husband William Wright of 72 years; children Janet Ellen Gully, Teresa Kay Cross (Gary), William Earl Wright III (Debbie), Rita Jane Bennett (Bruce), Kimberly Lynn Douglas (Andy), Benjamin David Wright, and Christopher Wayne Wright; grandchildren Heather, Autumn, Robin (Mike), Michelle (Matt), Bryanna, William “Billy”, Heather, Amber, Angie, Crystal (Khari), Carrie, Jamie (Daniel), Danny, Amber, Charlotte, Kaitlyn, Susie, Brittany (Pete), Bryan, Christopher Jr. (Hannah), and Shelby; 28 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren; brothers-in-law Lonnie Marks and Don Wright; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She is preceded in death by her parents listed above, infant brother Frances, siblings Dan, Jay, Mary, Mike, and Debbie, grandchild Andrew, and several aunts and uncles.
