Patricia Ann Goodrum, 75, peacefully passed October 20, 2022. Patty worked for over forty-two years in support of family. Patty waited all year for Christmas and was never disappointed. Decorating the tree and wrapping gifts was sacred work. A White Christmas was heaven sent. The magic wonder of a child was alive and thriving in Patty. Not surprisingly, she idolized all things Walt Disney. Patty radiated giving and inclusion. Few people failed to notice her acts of kindness, the sheer depth of her heart.
There wasn’t a mean-spirited bone in her body. She was a wonderful cook, trusted friend, and gentle listener. Patty was about family. Family was everything. She was never happier than when bringing her latest dish and warm smile to Sunday afternoon get-togethers. Just the basics: good food, good talk and loving laughter. An irreplaceable sweet spirit, Patty will be dearly missed.
Patty is survived by a daughter, Camille Diggle; three grandchildren: Julian Muncie, Samantha Muncie and Jeorgia Diggle; sister, Kay McClure; brother, Kenny Buck; and a world of nieces and nephews.
Patty is also survived by husband, Paris Goodrum who says, “I was blessed from the day I met her.” Patty and Paris were married fifty-five years.
Merry Christmas, pretty Patty Ann, “God bless us everyone!”
So much beauty,
So much bliss,
So much right,
Before the night.
