Norman Lee Land, 65, of Ridge Farm, Illinois, left us on June 7, 2025, with his children by his side. A husband, father, grandfather, son, and brother, Norman will be remembered for his story telling, orneriness, and for his love of Dr. Pepper.
Norman was born November 9, 1959, to Norman and Leona (Olney) Land-Gastinaeu. Norman is survived by his children, grandchildren, his brother, James Land, as well as a bevy of extended family members. He was preceded in death by his wife, Teresa, his father, Norman, mother, Leona, and youngest brother Eric Land.
Norman was a US Military Veteran, having proudly served his country in the United States Navy. He spent time on several naval bases as well as serving on the USS Eisenhower during his time of service between 1980 and 1986.
He married Teresa Ann Sprouls on July 19, 1980. They remained married until her passing on February 3, 2025. Together they had two children, Nicole (Anthony Jr.) Lee of Ridge Farm, IL, and Joshua (Mercedes) Land of Cayuga, IN. He was a proud grandpa of five rowdy grandsons: Anthony III, Landon, and Benson Lee, and Matthew and Jayden Land.
Per his wishes, Norman will be cremated. A Celebration of his Life will be held on Saturday, June 21st, 2025, in the basement of the Ridge Farm Friends Church in Ridge Farm, IL. It will be held from 1 to 3 PM CT.
