Nina Carolyn Autry

Nina “Carolyn” Autry was born to Nina “Hazel” Johnson and Raymond John Wolfanger on May 2^nd, 1934, in Quincy Indiana.

She left this world on May 29^{th, 2023,} peacefully in her sleep, after battling with the terrible disease dementia for the last 8 years.

Nina “Carolyn” graduated from Arsenal Tech High School in 1952, she married became a housewife for several years then later in life she returned to college and graduated with her MBA from IUPUI.

She retired from The Indiana Historical Library as a Microfilm historical Libarian.

She also loved doing Genealogy for many different people over the years.    She was a member of the Eastern Star Prospect Lodge; she enjoyed her time, being a part of this organization.  She also enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.  Nina “Carolyn” loved socializing, watching old movies, and loved cooking.   She loved the Sound of Music, baking pies, cross stich, and was known as the wonderful lady who adored cats.

She was always the first one that the vet would call when they had a cat or kitten that needed some love and kindness.

Nina “Carolyn” is survived by her sons: James Matthew Autry (Rachelle), William David Autry (Monica), Brothers; Clark Johnson, and Eric Johnson.

Grandchildren: Joshua Autry (Jennifer), Zachary Autry, Nathaniel Autry, Emma Rota- Autry, and Samuel Rota- Autry; Great Grandchildren; Aaron Autry, David Autry, Elizabeth Autry, Matthew Autry, Simon Autry.

She is proceeded in death by her ex-husband; Olis Franklin Autry, Mother Nina “Hazel” Johnson; Stepfather William Johnson.
