Nick Angelo Scalo

Nick Angelo Scalo “Nick at Night” 63 of Indianapolis, passed away on April 1, 2024.  He was born on May 27, 1960, in Indianapolis, to the late William and Evelyn (Murry) Scalo.  Nick graduate from Scecina Memorial High School in 1978. He was a delivery driver for many companies including Piazza Produce. Nick also worked at tire shops when he was younger.  

Nick loved his dog Joplin, pizza, placing bets, and 70’s music. He was always cracking a joke and loved socializing with people. He always had a story to tell if you had time to listen. Nick enjoyed many sports but loved basketball and racing. In his younger years you could find him at the track during the month of May. He never missed the chance to dress up for St. Patrick’s Day as it was his favorite holiday. He is preceded in death by his parents, William and Evelyn (Murray) Scalo. 

Nick is survived by his daughter, Breanna Popa (Andrei); son, Anthony Scalo; daughter, Marlaina Pertile (Joe) granddaughter, Daphne Popa; Cece Pertile. 

Services will be private and announced to family at a later date.  Cremation arrangements provided by Legacy Cremation & Funeral Services – Lawrence.  Nick’s final resting place will be at Washington Park East Cemetery, Indianapolis, IN.
