Nancy Jo Riedel Wagers, beloved daughter of Harvey and Nancy Riedel, was born in Anderson, Indiana, and spent her entire life in the community she cherished. She passed away peacefully on March 26th, 2024.
Nancy was a loving wife to Harlan Wagers until his passing. She found joy in life's simple pleasures, such as spending time with her family and friends. Nancy was a talented artist and photographer, passions she cultivated since her high school years at Highland High School, where she graduated in 1975.
Professionally, Nancy dedicated her skills as a cake decorator at Payless Grocery and Meijer, leaving a sweet legacy through her creations.
In her free time, Nancy enjoyed gardening, cooking, and capturing the beauty of life through her lens. Her faith in God was a cornerstone of her life, guiding her with strength and compassion.
Nancy is survived by her daughter, Sondra Riedel, and grandson Jay Hendrickson, mother Nancy Lee Riedel; special friend Rick Johnson; She also leaves behind her sister, Linda Riedel (Craig) Ellis, brothers Michael Riedel and Gary Riedel, sister-in-law Linda Gilley, several nieces and nephews, her best friends Cyn Day and Carolyn Wilson, and her beloved fur baby, Harley.
She was preceded in death by her father, Harvey Riedel Jr., grandparents Robert and Nancy Skillman and Evelyn Riedel, aunt Betty Russell, aunt Pat Bunch, husband Harlan Wagers, brother-in-law Jim Gilley, nephew Aaron Wagers, and mother-in-law Clara Wagers. Nancy also rejoins her best friend, Lynn Sapp Bloome, in eternal peace.
Nancy will be remembered for her warm heart, creative spirit, and unwavering faith. Her legacy of love and kindness will continue to inspire those who were fortunate to know her.
