Muriel Frances Creek (nee Graham)
Muriel was born in Digby, Nova Scotia, Canada, part of a large family raised by her parents, Reta and Lawrence Graham. She took advantage of an invitation to move to the U.S. during her youth and along the way met her future husband and the father of her children, Norman Creek. Together they settled in Anderson, Indiana where her husband’s parents – Clyde and Fern Creek – lived, and there they raised their three children, Carl Creek, Reta (Creek) Parks and Norma Jean (Creek) Darnell.
During the course of her life, she worked in the nursing profession, operated her own business as a daycare provider and earned a CDL drivers license to try out long-haul trucking. Her favorite location for vacationing became Hawaii after visiting there with a friend and she often spoke of its beauty as the ideal representation of God’s intention for a perfect earth.
She is preceded in death by her parents and husband as well as brothers, Lawrence (Buddy) Graham; Clarence Graham and Alden Graham. In addition to her children, she leaves behind her daughter-in-law, Kelly Creek; grandchildren Kamden Creek, Cody Creek, Cheyenne Griffet, Brianne Griffet, Brian Griffet, Kris Griffet and Stella Parks as well as several great-grandchildren. Her siblings include brothers, Eugene, Conrad and William (Billy) Graham; and sisters Ruth Peck, Rosanne Gregory, Sandra Graham, Shirley Lewis, Carol Lewis and Gloria Gregory.
